Have you ever wondered how staff at McDonald’s make your food so quickly?
You place your order, pay and within a few seconds burgers and fries start appearing in front of you – like magic!
Sadly, it’s not actually a wave of a wand that gets the job done.
A TikTok user named @iamfreddym has shared a behind the scenes look at how some of the food is prepared.
In a video he showed how quick it was for staff to whip up a sausage and egg McMuffin, which is made up of an English muffin, cheese, a sausage patty and an egg.
It all seems to come down to organisation, as each ingredient is cooked and ready to go and staff know exactly where to find what they need.
The McDonald’s employee simply retrieves each item from a different section of the cooker, using tongs (different ones for each item) and stacks them one on top of the other.
Once the breakfast sandwich is complete, they wrap the whole thing up in paper and slide it down the counter to their colleague.
The video has gone viral on social media, being viewed over 311,000 times.
More than 3,800 people have liked the clip with dozens commenting on it.
One person said: “And this is why McDonald’s is faster than Burger King. I worked at both and McDonald’s is faster.”
Another thought the video was “pretty satisfying” to watch.
Someone else wrote: “Explains a lot.”
A fourth added: “Looks good!”
This comes after a different McDonald’s employee revealed what it really means if a member of staff tells you the ice cream machine is broken.
According to the former worker, the machines aren’t usually broken, the staff probably just can’t be bothered to clean them.
Back in October, Twitter user @will_doyle posted: “Btw, I used to work in McDonalds. The ice cream machine was never broke, it just takes three hours to clean so we used to say it was broke so we didn’t have to serve you lot. Cheers.”
